A New Take On Commander Keen.
When the NES launched in the UK, I like many others put it on my christmas list. In response, my father sat me down in front of the family BBC Micro
with a copy of 1000 Games For BASIC. Though initially a little confused, by the time christmas came round I had found the second of my two life passions. Music and making Video
Games.
From finding my way coding narrative driven, text-based adventures to eventually hacking out an incredibly short Elite-style 3d space adventure it had never occured
to me that I would eventually begin working in the Video Games Industry; Achieving a 1st Class BA Hons in Games Development, Art & Design and ISTQB
certification whilst amassing almost 200 credits on commercially released titles including
AAA Video Games from leading developers & publishers and many of the UK's top Licensed Gaming Titles over the following 20 years.
Reared on a healthy diet of Sierra and Lucasarts graphic adventures, SSI AD&D RPGs and Maxis-Meier Sims by way of Capcom and Namco Arcade hits, on through the ID-Epic FPS revolution with a sizeable slice
of Westwood-Blizzard RTS games, all whilst living through the evolution of 6 Console generations - my favourite games to play and work on
have always been those that present immersive narrative environments with deep lore, challenging player intellect and intuition as much as digital dexterity.
Below is a listing of my Video Game and Licensed Gaming credits, followed by links to a selection of my own personal pet-projects.
